AROMA
An aromatic wine showing varietal blackberry and dark mulberry fruit along with dried thyme and violets, mint as well as hints of cocoa and background cedar oak.
PALATE
The palate is generous with dark fruit characters, blackberry compote. Has good intensity and complexity with woody herbs, spice and cedary oak characters. Has an elegant structure, with fine tannins and a lingering full flavoured finish.
VINEYARD
Sourced from a single site planted on heavy loamy soil over limestone. The vineyard is 29 years old and produces varietal and finely structured Cabernet fruit.
WINEMAKERS NOTES
Fermented on skins for ten days before being pressed and transferred to barrel for 18 months maturation. 100% French oak (20% new) was used.
